LEADERSHIP REACTION COURSE

WHAT IS IT?

Our proprietary Leadership Reaction Course (LRC) was conceived by military veterans as a vehicle for team development that leverages a series of engaging team-based challenges built upon a foundation of tested best practices in leadership, management, and team dynamics and models. These events foster transformational learning by providing teams and individuals with immediate and invaluable insight to cultivate more effective, trusting, and cohesive teams. Each of the included challenges are designed to test a leader’s capacity to communicate and collaborate with others, solve complex problems, influence a team, and swiftly adapt through mental, emotional, and relational stimulation. The outcome is an unforgettable and impactful experience with long-term developmental value for everyone involved.

The Logistics

​

  • Team Participants will…

    • Utilize and develop both hard and soft leadership skills​​

    • Move outside of their comfort zones to adapt to challenging situations

    • Be challenged to occupy multiple roles within a team including leader and follower

    • Contribute to the After Action Review Process to become more empowered in providing feedback to leaders

  • Challenge Specifications:

    • ​The mobile Leadership Reaction Course…

      • ​Can accommodate companies and organizations of up to 500 people, with groups organized into teams of 6-10 people negotiating challenges that last 20-45 minutes each

      • Is able to be set up at a convenient location near you, both indoors and outdoors

      • Can be held as a multi-day experience to accommodate multiple teams and greater numbers of participants

    • During the Challenge

      • ​One participant will volunteer to lead each group challenge

      • A facilitator observes and evaluates this leader based upon a leadership competency matrix

      • Team member feedback is collected to further enhance leader evaluation

    • After the Challenge

      • ​An After Action Review is held to share feedback from team members and the facilitator with the leader

      • Strengths and areas for development are identified, providing the leader with invaluable insight regarding their leadership capabilities

      • A template of best practices is shared with the leader as a tool to enhance leadership skills in the future
